I have a 2004 F-150 long bed extended cab pickup My friends dubbed it MK
or Mercedes killer because I smashed a mercedes that parked too close
behind me.. this truck is half hte length of a city bus or as long as a
big-rig tractor....

anyone have any ideas or comments re the jack and tools ford provides in
the 2004 pickups......

had to change flat tire this week, the jack handle snapped

I am going to gt a bottle jack and take the broken handle back to dealer
to see if they will exchange. have only had this truck for under 4
months but have just under 10,000 miles on it....

For what it's worth, on my F-350 supercab the factory gave me a bottle jack.
I once tried to use a sissor jack from an S10 on it cuz I didn't feel like
getting out the bottle jack. Broke in half before the tire came off the
ground.

I bought a 6-ton (12,000 pounds) bottle jack at a local Checker Auto
I have used bottle jacks or those mini floor jacks with good success

I had the same problem you mentioned the jack handle and the jack did me
no good when I needed them. I called a friend who came with a 1994 ford
an I used hte bottle jack from that truck.. worked just fine...
